The Myth, the Legend

the… girl?

13418857_10208745905798691_2519223394811071823_nHello friends! My name’s Kristy-Leigh, but please, call me Kristy. I live in Brisbane with my boyfriend and our many, many children (who all happen to be books), and we both work for one of Australia’s leading bookshops.

I’m a 5’2″ lowkey-dead-inside ISFJ, and according to an online survey, I’m only 94% geeky (insulted!!!). When I’m not reading, I’m procrastinating (yep, you can bet money on the fact that I’m doing that right now), or I’m sitting in front of a screen killing my brain cells by playing video games or marathoning some sort of television series (totally not procrastinating).

In the hopes that there’ll be a chance to get some reading done, you can guarantee that wherever I go, I’ll have some form of reading material with me, be it book, kindle, or audiobook. You can also guarantee that if one of those aforementioned chances happen to arise, that I probably won’t actually be reading because I’ll be too busy scrolling through instagram, or staring off into the distance daydreaming. So as you can probably guess that despite my best attempts, I tend to take quite a while to get through any book. But hey, I’m working on it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m a lover of YA and Middle-Grade fiction, and you’ll rarely see me reading anything else. I tend to get very defensive when people criticise me for what I read, because a) I can read whatever I want, and b) you’re not my real mom.
